"Releasing the IPS Tag" (Changing ISP)

This page is for transferring a .uk domain name TO Strongnet from a different ISP.

If you wish, you can transfer management of your .uk domain name (eg .co.uk, .org.uk, .ltd.uk etc) to Strongnet if you already use another Internet Service Provider (this process is also referred to as "Releasing the IPS Tag").

To begin this process, please fax a signed request to your current ISP on your letterhead, together with your email address and our IPS Tag (which is STRONGNET), and let us know when your have done so email

Your request need only be short and should be along the lines of the letter below, changing obviously the words in red.

FAO: Domain Administrator Your Current ISP Current ISP's Address Dear Sir or Madam, We have registered the domain name XXXXXX.co.uk with you and would like to transfer to a different ISP. Please release the IPS tag for XXXXXX.co.uk to Strongnet Ltd , at your earliest convenience. Their tag is STRONGNET. Our contact details are as per the above letterhead and my direct email address is NAME@DOMAIN.CO.UK Yours faithfully NAME
