WHY
SHOULD YOU NOT TRANSFER YOUR DOMAIN AWAY STRONGNET?
If you send a request to us to change the IPS-KEY (transfer) the name away from Strongnet, the control of the name will be moved to another ISP/Registrar, Renewal fee's will also be payable the the new (Tag Holder).
We therefor highly recommend you check the following BEFORE requesting the transfer.
- What are the renewal fee's with the new ISP/Registrar?
- Does the new ISP/Registrar charge a RELEASE fee if you wish to move away from them?
- Will the new ISP/Registrar charge you to 'MODIFY' the domain name?
Strongnet does not charge to modify your domain name, and you CAN host you website with ANY hosting company simply by changing the DNS servers! this way you have the advantage of low cost domain fee's and hosting where ever you like.
Strongnet charge the same rate for renewal as a new registration, without hidden fee's.

How to transfer your Domain Name away from Strongnet
You will need to print this FORM and FAX or POST the for to us. The address and Fax number are on the form. We can NOT start the transfer process unless the forms are returned to the correct Address/Fax Number.
With a .uk we will then release the domain name to the requested ISP-KEY
With a Global domain name ie. .com you still need to Fax/Post the form to us, BUT the new ISP/Registrar will initiate the transfer request. WE WILL NOT authorise a tranfer WITHOUT a signed request form!
WHY
DO I NEED TO FAX (OR POST) THE REQUEST ?
Basically this
is for your security, such that only you as the registrant can authorise the transfer
of your valuable domain name. To act upon a telephone request would be most unwise,
similarly an email request could be equally insecure. For this reason, industry
practice is to release the tags on receipt of signed requests on letterheads.
